» Since iam using bare minerals ..?

Can i use the smasbox photo finish primer instead of the bare minerals primer?? does it make a difference seeing that iam using BE and the smashbox primer will work together and better or not??The short answer: it shouldn't matter which primer you're using. The longer answer: that said, your skin may behave differently using different primers, and the makeup could react differently with your skin because of the different primer. There's nothing WRONG with using the Smashbox instead of the BE (or BM... not sure if you're using bare minerals or bare escentuals) primer, so it's just a matter of preference. The best thing to do is to try a bit of each on each half of your face on a day when you don't have to be ...... - 2009-07-04

» I live at chittaranjan 30km to asansol. My nearest fm radio staition at asansol, what can i do for clear signal?

Not much. The closer you are to the transmitter the better the signal, or get a really tall FM antenna. AM frequency's use the the air and ground to bend it's signal around the Earth. AM radio waves can end up hundreds and even thousands of miles away from where they started. That is why you can hear AM stations from far away. FM stations are "line of site" these waves go in a straight line and don't bend around the earth as AM ground waves do. The curvature of the earth and mountains can kill an FM signal. So, the farther away from the FM station you are, the higher you have to have an antenna to receive the signal. ...... - 2009-07-04

» What's the name of that song about 'Alcohol'?

There was a song that was popular on alternative rock radio station 104.1fm (no longer under the same format by the way) in CT between April-June 1996 where the chorus lyrics were - "Alcohol [then the guitar went 'be-neer, be-neer'] Alcohol [again, the guitar line] , you make me want to love you then get on my knees and crawl - oh Alcohol." These days with iTUnes and Rhapsody I've tried to find it using "Alcohol" as the keyword under the search to no avail. great rock song, still remember it, still don't have it. What is the name of the song and the name of the artist? You wouldn't happen to be thinking about the Barenaked Ladies song "Alcohol" (from their 1998 album 'Stunt') would you? http://www.lyricsdomain.co...... - 2009-07-04

He should be good. He'll bring common sense to the rampant speculation that usually runs wild in tv news. » How do you comfort an atheist who is sick, frail and about to die?

im christian, usually i would pray to God to comfort a sick person and leave it to the will of God. i just wonder how atheist comfort each other when such an event comes?you can still pray for him(we know better).God is still in control regardless of whether they believe or not. tell him /her about it.then tell them that at the very least they would stop suffering.(i hope that wasn't too insenstive of me??) but the best would be if we can share n let God do the rest. I'm looking for my first car and i was wondering which car is better. i like the look of bothe of them and i would also get it twin turboed on either one. btw i have lots of experience driving(from 18 wheelers to nascars) so dont say i shouldnt look at a twin turbo. Can't go wrong with a Toyota go with the old supra twin turbos way better then the old 300zx twins but these cars are still very desirable to racers so there a bit pricey for there age.The Toyota has more mods and replacement parts so it should be cheaper to own or modify. » Baby Shower

One of my husbands friends who is pregnant has been letting me photograph her through out the pregnancy, along with a final shoot when she is term. Her baby shower is comming up quickly, and she asked me to be there to catch memories and asked how much i would charge. I was like "oh, i dont know, $50.00" since she was a very good friend of my husband, and the previous pictures were done to help me out. she told me she was looking to pay me about $200.00 to do the baby shower. I'm confused... i feel like that may be taking advantage of her... What is the going rate for something like that??Offer to shoot for free and she can buy prints. I recently purchased the R3120 Jig Saw and I am not certain that I am inserting the blade correctly. I am using a Bosch-type blade. The handle which opens/closes the blade clamping mechanism does not return to the same position as it is in when there is no blade inserted. Is this correct? This is same situation when I insert any of the blades that Ridgid provided with the kit. I believe that I am inserting the blade as deep as it will go in the holder. Thanks in advance for any assistance. CanuckMake sure that you open the spring-loaded clamp holding the blade as far as you can, this should allow you to insert the blade as deep as it needs to. » What makes a good lens good?

I very recently purchased a Rebel Ti kit and immediately started seeing posts claiming that the lens (28-90mm) was "mediocre" and "sub par." Why is that? What makes a good lens good? Or great? What will I see in my pictures? Will a good lens make me a great photographer? (Sorry - just had to throw that in for a chuckle.) I'm sure that one of my next purchases will be another lens. I have thoughts that I would like a zoom in the 100-200mm range. I'm never close to anything, it seems, and I like the framing (fill the picture with what I want) control of a zoom. I believe that most of my shots will be of my animals and local wildlife, with the occasional bug, flower, or distant mountain thrown in. » Exposure reciprocity

I always have a problem deciding which exposure to choose when i am shooting some scene. I give you an example so it is easier to understand. Let say you want to take a picture of a landscape where everything is static, and focus at infinity. Your camera gives you the following setting: f/8 and shutter 1/125. Why would you choose this exposure instead of f/5.6, 1/250 or f/11, 1/60. The amount of light will be the same, everything is focus at infinity, so my guess is that the DOF will not change much. So what will be the difference between the 3 pics ? Thanks in adance for your responses.Generally you want to stop down to the optimal apeture for a given lens. Usually it is 2-3 stops from the widest apeture. I generally go with F8 un...... - 2009-07-04

» U.S. finds low-risk H5N1 bird flu strain in ducks

By Charles Abbott WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Mallard ducks in Maryland have tested positive for bird flu, apparently a common, less pathogenic strain that poses no risk to humans, the U.S. Agriculture and Interior departments said on Friday. The H5N1 avian influenza virus was found in fecal samples from "resident wild" mallards in Queen Anne's County in Maryland, on the U.S. central Atlantic coast. "Testing has ruled out the possibility of this being the highly pathogenic H5N1 strain that has spread through birds in Asia, Europe and Africa," said USDA in a statement. "Test results thus far indicate this is low pathogenic avian influenza, which poses no risk to human health." Five to 10 more days will be needed for definitive tests...... - 2009-07-04

im looking for a new video card, and they all say either 64 or 128 bits, my os is 32 bit so will these not work with it?Some cards are described as "64/128-bit memory interface" - that's usually when there are 2 different versions of the card...128MB or 256MB. The 128MB card uses 64-bit memory, the 256MB card uses 128-bit So YES it will work it will work. The 128 part is in MegaBits (MB) and this is totally different from the 32 Bit part which relates to your processor. The 128 MB is the amount of onboard RAM (memory) on the Video Card. The more the better! You could have 128,256 or 512MB - they all would work. The only thing you need to find out is whether your computer uses an AGP or PCI-Express slot for it to fit into. » Homeplug (powerline networking) and XBMC

Hi All On the inter i saw some of you are using a homeplug (network over electrical circuit) to connect the xbox with the internet router. I tried but could't get it to work, what settings or setup should i use to get it working (if it is working at all) I use a topcom homeplug at 85Mbps, 1 i plugged into the davo201 router, and the other one in the xbox. What more should i have to do to get this working...settings in xbmc..??? Thx JarreDoes your router broadcast DHCP? If so you need to set XBMC to DHCP in Network Settings (http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=Network_Settings), otherwise you need to assign an IP address and subnet mask to your Xbox that match your router, which IMHO is way beyond the scope of this ...... - 2009-07-04

» Ethics in the medical profession

source: Businessworld. Persistent questionable practices will eventually catch up with every industry, profession or sector. For years, fast food firms and cola companies have been in the dock for producing and selling products that are harmful to health. Only after many lawsuits and continual media coverage did the erring companies decide to stop marketing their products to children and stop selling them in schools. In the case of tobacco, widespread public opinion, followed by laws, has led to a ban on advertising of cigarettes. Interestingly, the ITC chairman’s speech at the last AGM talked of everything except tobacco, the mainstay of the company. On the other hand, the pan masala industry has escaped the net so far. The key issue: Should Indonesia and other developing nations have a say over crucial genetic data about their own deadly viruses? An international network of top influenza scientists says yes, arguing that is the best way to speed development and research, but they are running into resistance from within the World Health Organization, which opposes letting countries keep intellectual property rights to virus samples they provide for research. how could this all happen with no one to makes this happen.I mean you've got to admit a human being is pretty amazing .We can form our selfs, heal our selfs, see, hear, taste, feel, smell and we look pretty attractive...not everyone. My point is how can this all happen from a soup of cells like evolution says. I could believe that some one made us and programed us to evolve but read this as an example...if the lay some dirt into a box its not going to build a computer it doesent matter how long its been. If evolution was true we would be over populated. really over populated.Well they put the DNA in the egg, or whatever, then it comes out half like you or who ever, then the next one they put more and more and keep repeating the proces...... - 2009-07-04

» Any ideas for planning a wine/tuscan themed wedding, where the bride is determined to use pink?

I am helping my friend coordinate her wedding, and she has bounced around a lot on ideas and themes, but settled on a tuscan/wine theme. The only problem with that is she is determined to use pink as her main color. Any ideas on how to incorporate the two ideas? She's getting married in March outside at a cute little boathouse on the river. Let me know your ideas! Thanks! Pink looks rich and luxurious when teamed with a rich Tuscan yellow and an equally rich shade of burgundy. Add a splash of fuschia or hotter rose shade and the wedding will be like a palette of roses. Table settings and her bouquet could be a collection of about 5 different types of roses. How many did she lay? 15? 32? First clutches tend to be small in number. Mark the top of each egg gently with a Sharpie. Be sure not to rotate them. Hello Shannon. Didn't get around to saying it before, but I hope your arm is doing better. I can too, my heart just broke for you. if it was in fact the elderberry tonic, (btw, elderberry is my guess too) .....what is your opinion? That to be successfull, treatment begins after first symptoms of flu were recognized....or a combination of long term maintainence during the flu season (which needs to be periodically given a two week break btw)and then the additional dosage (which is roughly double of the maintainece dose) for actual treatment. I'm wondering if the initial maintainence dosing is critical. And.....if my few bottles of sambucol, intended for treating after the fact, is enough.Hello Shannon. » If the average person throws away 2.5 pounds of trash every day, how much trash would the average person throw?

In a life time? The average life expectancy in the U.S. is 75 years. 75x365x2.5 = 68,437 pounds of trash. Or 34 tons. This question belongs in a math category by the way-- I fail to see it relating to etiquette. The average life expectancy for a human living in the US is 80 yrs. There are 365 days in a year, and 29200 days in 80 yrs. So multiply that by 2.5 and if my calculations are correct that average person throws away 73000 pounds of trash in their lifetime.912.5 pounds in a year, 73000 pounds in a lifetime of 80 years.HUH ????Since the average lifespan is 66.2 years, the average person would throw away 60,407.5 pounds. » Hi. Does anybody know the proper procedure for disciplining staff at work? ?

Does a company have to give at least one warning before suspending an employee? In the case of gross misconduct, no. Also if you are on probation and you haven't been there long, they can also give you notice. Otherwise, once you are into the disciplinary procedure, the usual thing is to give you an informal verbal warning, then a formal written warning, then notice that if things do not improve by a set date, there will be another meeting to consider your termination. Suspension on full pay pending an investigation I think depends on what would be considered reasonable. Ask ACAS or your Citizens Advice Bureau for more information. I can no longer view weather either. It worked fine beforehand, not it won't display. No weather means your xbox doesn't have an active connection to the internet - start there. The weather problem is because you don't have a DNS server entry for XBMC to lookup the weather server's IP address. Go in to the Network settings and set one. The share problem on Vista is because Vista does not just allow anonymous share access. So your default username for connecting shares must have gotten removed during the upgrade. ...... - 2009-07-04

I have chopped some rosemary, parsley and pineapple sage and put them in oil in the fridge, will they still be good for thanksgiving and christmas cooking? You need to make sure to keep the herbs completely submersed in the oil. If any plant bits are above oil level, they will develop mold. Since the herbs may have a tendency to float to the top, just fill the jar completely full of oil. If the herbs were wet, or if there are air pockets/bubbles in the mix, you also will run a high risk of mold. There are just too many variables to say for certain how long it will last.
